HELLO AND WELCOME TO MEOW'S & BOW-WOW'S CUSTOM PET PRODUCTS ONLINE! We are unlike any other pet product company as our pet products are 100% handcrafted (in New Hampshire) and not “mass produced” by conglomerates looking to make their pockets fat with huge profits.  Yeah, blunt – however it’s an honest statement!  Another difference that sets us apart from pet product companies is that a portion of our profits are donated to the Humane Society of Greater Nashua.  How many other companies say they do that? OK, so now that you have a basic idea, my name is Steve and here’s how it all started... My wife Cheryl worked a full time job along with a second part time job cleaning offices.  Not a glamorous job - but when you can earn a little extra money each week to make ends meet, what’s one more bathroom to clean or another floor to vacuum! As fate would have it, this part time position was eventually eliminated.  We did our best not having the extra weekly income – for a while.  Then Cheryl thought it was time to find another part-time job.  She wanted to do something that she really enjoys doing, and hopefully without spending a lot of time away from home and her children (both human and furry). I suppose this is the part where I should mention that Cheryl is incredibly gifted and talented when it comes to sitting down at the sewing machine. Cheryl came up with an “idea”.  Combine her love of creating and sewing with her love for animals.  Her idea was to make beds for dogs and cats and bandanas for dogs - just like the ones she had made for our dog Champ - and sell them to friends and family (who are all avid pet lovers) with the hope the word would spread from there. Well, it spread all right...  from plush pillows, bandanas and non-skid bowl mats (a/k/a placemats), to crate sleep pads made of foam and so on!  Before we knew it, what was supposed to be a simple idea grew into doing craft shows!   And ‘ya know what?  We couldn’t be happier! Both Cheryl & I have always been pet owners/lovers - from cats and dogs to hamsters and horses and fish and rabbits – and thoroughly enjoy doing the craft shows.  We have a fun and wonderful time meeting more pet owners/lovers and hearing the stories about Duke, Mr. Tibbs, Muffet, Cassie and so many others. With the overwhelming response we have received, we’ve decided that it is now time to expand from craft shows to the web as well!  In short, there’s an old saying... “find what you love and love what you find” and that’s what we’re doing!
